Environment related dates and events during the year provide many angles from which to approach stories about the environment. These dates and events provide an opportunity for assessing progress on the commitments made, and objectives outlined in regional environment-related multilateral agreements. Events held on these dates also give the journalist an opportunity to track topical and emerging environmental concerns in the region while also exposing the journalist to current research and new thinking on these issues.
